Hello Anon, Welcome to my page.
I am a 59 year young listener from Anchorage. I am a commercial loan broker and want to retire but wife wants me to work a little longer. I was in the Army for 10 years and the Alaska Army National Guard for 10 years and retired in 1992. Been a banker but am looking for something new.
Hobbies and interests include: geocaching, grandchildren, reading, computers, geocaching, my dog, biking, exploring Alaska, Whole Wheat Radio, did I mention Geocaching?

Today 1/7 was the end of 1 of 4 treatments. Feel fine so far. The test will be in 3 days when an anti-nausea med drops out of my system.
- You will be fine Scobey ! Just keep lots of fluids in and eat early and eat often. If you don't feel like cooking or eating big meals.. drink BOOST and if you don't like the taste of BOOST, set it out in the snow for an hour and make it a slushy. Apparently, chemo is much less likely to make you nauseous in this age of anti-nausea drugs, so you should be just fine. We are all thinking about you now. The oncologist and I have decided it's time to treat my lymphoma. Another wake-up call! Carpe Diem!
Some history: I've had small lymphocytic Lymphoma for aver 4 years. It is an indolent cancer that can go years without causing problems. But in my case it has been waxing to the point where I have 9 +lymph nodes that are enlarged mostly in my neck. Remission should be quick but no idea how long.
The first wakeup call was being diagnosed. The next was prostate cancer and now this. It has taught me to live today, forget about yesterday and look forward to tomorrow!

- Two similar diagnosis at my school this week. I will be sending positive healing thoughts to you and to them. We all seem to get those wake up calls, just not always with the same ring tone.
