B&O TRAIN DEPOT
Whole Wheat Radio's community member, Tonia Osborn (Redsy) is the new Executive Director of the B&O Depot in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The following excerpt is from the Mount Vernon News:
- The Mount Vernon Baltimore & Ohio Railroad depot — the impressive Richardsonian Romanesque-styled building on West High Street — will enter its second century with an open house, a new look and a new community purpose this weekend.
- “For 100 years, the depot was an integral part of Mount Vernon and Knox County, active with visitors and commerce,” said Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Mavis. “It is with great pride this building has been restored and stands ready to once again become a focal point for local residents and visitors into the next century."
