How I Found WWR
I visited Alaska last summer with my family. We visited Talkeetna and spent the night there. Fortunately, the tv did not work that night. I turned on the clock radio and found a station which was playing very, very good music without commercial interruption. They never gave a station identification that I heard. When I got home to NC the next week, I searched the internet for radio stations and found WWR. I was later told by Esther that the station I heard was the NPR station in Talkeetna who have a folk show once a week. I wish I had discovered WWR before my visit so that I could have met Jim and Esther.
I have been listening now for a year to this station along with this wonderful community of Wheatheads. I am finally starting to venture out more into this wacky world of wiki. I hope to become a more involved listener.
