Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year. Stole many a man’s soul and faith... Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name.

Give up? I am J-Walk (pronounced Jay Dash Walk), a long-time WWR listener, and a dabbler in Microsoft Excel. I live in Tucson, Arizona, and I play guitar, and I'm learning clawhammer banjo.

I attended the Wheatstalk in June, 2005, so now I'm one of a select group of listeners who knows all of the WWR secrets. Hint: It's not what you think. That's about all I can say.

This WWR wiki is one of the coolest things I've played with in a long time. It will be interesting to watch it develop and see how long it takes to get completely screwed up.

Trivia About Me

  • I was born in a plane flying over the Pacific Ocean. Technically, I am not a citizen of any country. That's why I'm not allowed to vote in the U.S.
  • When I was a child, I kept a diary of interesting things that I found during the day. I updated it several times a day, and even pasted pictures of things. I started at the back of the book, and put all of the new stuff before the old stuff. In retrospect, I should have patented that idea.
  • I first started using Excel when I was 7. I took notes, thinking that I might be able to help people some time in the future.
  • My first dog (age 9) was named Jimbob. Several years later, I adopted a cat and named her Esther.
  • I ran into Bill Gates at Target one time. He was buying a picture frame and asked for my advice.
  • I hold a world's record for the most raisins eaten while standing on one foot on the Thursday.
  • I met Mozie during a traffic accident. She went through a red light and totaled my brand new Camry.
  • Most of my shirts have three sleeves.
  • All of the clocks in my house are set 46 minutes fast, except during daylight saving time, when I move them back 18 minutes.
  • We have a $25,000 commercial photocopy machine in the kitchen. Oddly, we rarely use it.
  • I am deathly afraid of warthogs, but I like hedgehogs.
  • Although I've published about 50 Excel books, all of them were outsourced. They were actually written by some guy in India.
  • I played guitar on three #1 songs by Herman's Hermits, and on one #2 song.
  • My car gets 438 miles per gallon, but I can't tell you why.
  • The first story I wrote was a children's story called The Pet Goat. Unfortunately, I forgot to copyright it, and Siegfried Engelmann and Elaine C. Bruner stole it.
  • I have never tried drinking beer. Is it any good?
  • I've saved every rubber band that I've ever seen, and I keep them on my left arm.
  • I once ran for Congress, but I lost by one vote. I later learned that voting for your opponent is only done in elementary school elections.
  • My favorite pastime is to use the home phone to call myself on my cell phone, and then listen to the delay while I talk to myself.
  • I used to live next door to Leon Pober, who wrote the song "Small Bubbles." I convinced him to change it to "Tiny Bubbles" and send it to Don Ho.
  • When I was a kid, I once dug a hole so deep that I couldn't get out. I missed an entire year of school while my parents went looking for a ladder.

Today's horoscope for Aquarius:
Everyday events and typical conversations will take on more significant meanings today -- you are able to see the hidden meanings just under the surface, which will give a whole new meaning to what is happening on the surface of things. This insight could be extremely useful, especially if you use it in a work context to get one step ahead of your competition. Knowing things that other people don't know is one of the most valuable of all assets.
Looks like a 4 wheatberry day for you dear Aquarius.
