Oklahoma Rain was directly inspired by David's visit to Oklahoma City four days after the bombing of the federal building in April 1995. As he has since observed, sometimes you write the song and sometimes the song writes you. He is accompanied by Don Lax's haunting violin and Theresa's harmony on the bridge.
