Hi folks...

Woohoo - it's summer in Alaska! Coupla important things in this email:

1) You can now control the frequency and types of emails we send you. PLEASE click here and make sure your email preferences are set in a way that suits you. Thanks.

2) Steve Durr is having a big CD Release & Pancake Party here at the Palace on Saturday, June 28th! For those of you in Talkeetna, I don't have to tell you what a big deal this is. Half the town will be performing on stage and the other half will be cheering them on. There will be pancakes to eat, use as mosquito swatters or throw like a Frisbee. Come enjoy a night out amongst some familiar local faces.

Upcoming House Concerts
The Wheat Calendar
Saturday, June 28th: Steve Durr
Tuesday, July 8th: Jennifer Matthews
Saturday, July 12th: The Rocco John Group
Friday, July 18th: Meg Hutchinson
Friday, July 25th: Peter Cooper & Eric Brace

Why so many concerts in these busy months? Because I'm taking all of August off so we had to squeeze all this great music into July. I promise you, these are all outstanding shows. I hope to see you here for as many as you can make!

Warmly,

Jim & Beta (The World's Greatest Mosquito Catcher)

733-2452 * 1/2 mile down Birch Creek Blvd. * Talkeetna's only completely mosquito free venue since 1825...

Here are the general details for (most) all of our shows:

1. Shows start at 7PM. Directions are here

2. Bring your own beverages of choice (beer or wine are just dandy) and munchies if you'd like.

3. Some shows are kid friendly. Others are not. If you are unsure, please call. Generally kids can play downstairs as long as at least one parent is there to supervise. There are toys and stuff to play with down there.

4. All of our shows are webcast live. If you can't make it or have family/friends outside of Talkeetna you'd like to share the show with, just go to Whole Wheat Radio and click one of the 'Listen' links on the lefthand menu.

5. If you miss the live webcast, you can still hear the show later by downloading an MP3 or subscribing to our podcast / audio magazine series.

6. Shows are usually over by 9:30-10PM so you have plenty of time to go out and catch the downtown scene afterwards. (Or go home to bed and a good book if that's more your style.)

7. The suggested donation is $10. It all goes to the artist. Bring more if you'd like to buy a CD ($15) or three.

As always, if you or your clan can't attend, no matter where in the world you are, you can always tune in live and listen - the next best thing to being here.
