And Rod is not simply singing --- he's um, well, he might be intensely crazy. I mean that in a good way - cuz the way his eyes burn right through you --- even 35 feet away --- is remarkable. If I saw him on the street , I might mistake him for The Prophet....

Trying to focus the site on the event. If you are saavy enough to be doing other stuff, fine, don't feel like I'm saying the work areas are locked out. I'm just more making sure that newbies or Rod's fans can easily find where to go.
4:19 pm	Jim (talk/contribs)	I was trying to write the intro. I couldn't do it very well. It all kept coming back to my loving live acoustic music - but I was afraid I couldn't get my point across. Which is, after having my own mortality knock a little louder on my door and re-evaluating why I give such a large portion of my life to supporting independent music, I realized it's cuz I truly love the music. I don't like the biz or a bunch of the other stuff surrounding the music - but I really really really am moved by the experience of music. But that sounded very trite so I went another direction.  :-)

I didn't really know that Amanda was going to be here fiddling when we first set up with Rod (thanks to Jon in Fairbanks). Seeing the two of them, and then hearing her fiddle set me swarming goody goody vibes inside. I really need this affirmation of acoustic music right now. This is going to be wonderful.
